4 Days 3 Nights

You will witness the elephants and ancient baobab trees of Tarangire or spot the tree-climbing lions of Lake Manyara, visit a Maasai village, and meet the elders, warriors, women, and children while learning about this nomadic tribe’s culture, beliefs, and traditions. Travel the endless plains of the world-famous Serengeti and search for the elusive Big Five in the Ngorongoro Crater.

After breakfast in Arusha, you’ll meet your professional safari guide who will brief you about the exciting adventure ahead. Depart for Tarangire National Park, a scenic 2.5-hour drive through rural villages, Maasai steppe, and local farmlands. On arrival, enter the park for a full-day game drive through the rolling savannah dotted with iconic baobab trees.

Tarangire is renowned for its large elephant herds, often hundreds moving together in search of water, and for hosting a great diversity of wildlife such as giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, and predators like lions, leopards, and cheetahs. The Tarangire River, which meanders through the park, acts as a magnet for animals, especially during the dry season, creating a photographer’s paradise.

In the evening, exit the park and drive to your lodge in Karatu Relax, enjoy dinner, and soak in the African night sounds.

After an early breakfast, depart for Serengeti National Park, Tanzania’s most celebrated wildlife destination. Your journey passes through the highlands of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, offering scenic views of forests, crater highlands, and sweeping plains. As you descend into the Serengeti, the landscape opens into vast golden savannah stretching endlessly in every direction.

You’ll enjoy an en-route game drive toward your camp, with chances to see big cats resting under acacia trees, graceful giraffes walking across the horizon, and the endless herds of wildebeest and zebras grazing the plains. The Serengeti’s name means “endless plains” in the Maasai language, a fitting description for one of the most incredible ecosystems on Earth.

Arrive at your lodge in the afternoon and settle in for dinner under a star-filled sky. The sounds of distant hyenas and roaring lions will remind you that you are truly in the wild.

Rise early for a sunrise game drive, the best time to witness predators on the hunt and the plains alive with activity. As the golden light floods the savannah, you may encounter lions returning from a night’s hunt, cheetahs scanning for prey, or elephants gathering around waterholes.

After breakfast at your lodge or a picnic in the bush, continue exploring the Serengeti. Each corner of the park offers something unique, from the kopjes (rocky outcrops) that shelter lions and leopards, to the vast plains where the Great Migration unfolds when in season.

In the afternoon, begin your journey toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, with optional stops at a Maasai boma (village) to learn about their traditions and way of life.

After an early breakfast, descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater for a once-in-a-lifetime wildlife experience. The crater is home to nearly every species found in East Africa — lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, hippos, and even the rare black rhino. Its lush floor and permanent water sources support a dense concentration of wildlife throughout the year.

During your game drive, enjoy spectacular scenery with misty crater walls towering above you. Stop for a picnic lunch at the hippo pool, where you can stretch and watch the animals from close range. After lunch, continue exploring before beginning your ascent to the rim and drive back to Arusha, arriving in the late afternoon or early evening.
